Weekly Prayer Requests

Anonymous:  Strength, endurance, joy, faith.

Blaine R.:  Clear thinking, focus, and peace to get things done.

Shelia G. & Ashley A.:  That God would bless our business financially and bring the right deals to us in His way and time.

Manami K.:  At work, my coworkers are watching The Game of Thrones.  Christians need to be aware of what to watch, what not to watch.  Please pray for wisdom.

I thank God Whom I worship with a pure conscience, [a]in the spirit of my fathers, when without ceasing I remember you night and day in my prayers,
And when, as I recall your tears, I yearn to see you so that I may be filled with joy.
I am calling up memories of your sincere and unqualified faith (the leaning of your entire personality on God in Christ in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness), [a faith] that first lived permanently in [the heart of] your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am [fully] persuaded, [dwells] in you also.
That is why I would remind you to stir up (rekindle the embers of, fan the flame of, and keep burning) the [gracious] gift of God, [the inner fire] that is in you by means of the laying on of my hands [with those of the elders at your ordination].
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.
Do not blush or be ashamed then, to testify to and for our Lord, nor of me, a prisoner for His sake, but [with me] take your share of the suffering [to which the preaching] of the Gospel [may expose you, and do it] in the power of God.
[For it is He] Who delivered and saved us and called us with a calling in itself holy and leading to holiness [to a life of consecration, a vocation of holiness]; [He did it] not because of anything of merit that we have done, but because of and to further His own purpose and grace (unmerited favor) which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began [eternal ages ago].
10 [It is that purpose and grace] which He now has made known and has fully disclosed and made real [to us] through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, Who annulled death and made it of no effect and brought life and immortality (immunity from eternal death) to light through the Gospel.
11 For [the proclaiming of] this [Gospel] I was appointed a herald (preacher) and an apostle (special messenger) and a teacher of the Gentiles.
12 And this is why I am suffering as I do. Still I am not ashamed, for I know (perceive, have knowledge of, and am acquainted with) Him Whom I have believed (adhered to and trusted in and relied on), and I am [positively] persuaded that He is able to guard and keep that which has been entrusted to me and which I have committed [to Him] until that day.
13 Hold fast and follow the pattern of wholesome and sound teaching which you have heard from me, in [all] the faith and love which are [for us] in Christ Jesus.
14 Guard and keep [with the greatest care] the precious and excellently adapted [Truth] which has been entrusted [to you], by the [help of the] Holy Spirit Who makes His home in us.

Weekly Prayer Requests

Anonymous: Restoration in all things.  A break in the rain before the hay crop is lost.

Jordan F.:  I need prayer for my insomnia.  I had been sleeping well for three months without medication but now having to take it again.  I also need guidance in either finding a new job or staying at my current one.

Ashley C.:  Step-mom is going through kidney failure as well as cervical cancer.  Prayer that I find a better job.

CP:  I pray for the complete healing of my friend Melanie's back so that surgery will not be necessary.  Give her peace and stillness during this time.

Anonymous:  For my precious sister-in-law who's struggle with addiction has her in treatment for at least 3 months.  God, you are in the wrecking and rebuilding business!  May her new life be built on the foundation of your cross.  I pray she encounters You like never before through this process.

Anonymous:  Would you agree with me in prayer for my husband who has had much pain in his lower right abdomen area?  He's scheduled for hernia surgery this Thursday, May 28th, at 10:00 a.m. Please pray that all goes well in the surgery and that he has a quick and painless recovery.  Thank you!

Come and let us return to the Lord, for He has torn so that He may heal us; He has stricken so that He may bind us up.
After two days He will revive us (quicken us, give us life); on the third day He will raise us up that we may live before Him.
Yes, let us know (recognize, be acquainted with, and understand) Him; let us be zealous to know the Lord [to appreciate, give heed to, and cherish Him]. His going forth is prepared and certain as the dawn, and He will come to us as the [heavy] rain, as the latter rain that waters the earth.

Weekly Prayer Requests

John R.:  Pray that I will decrease and He will increase daily.  Pray that the Holy Spirit will teach how to truly praise Him daily.

CP:  As I travel this week with my team, prayers for smooth and safe travels to and from South Carolina. Lord, keep us healthy and free from injuries, and may I be a light for you in this competition--and may we compete to the best of our abilities--are for your glory.  Amen.

Anonymous:  For "3" near and dear to us currently suffering in the darkness of addiction.  Father, we plead with You on their behalf to break the chains of bondage in their lives.

CP:  I praise you, Lord, for the winds of change within Your church.  Draw us closer to your heartbeat--our ears are open and pressed upon Your chest to heart from You--unite us--direct us--ignite us to continue Your work on this earth.  Amen.

“At that time, declares the LordI will be the God of all the clans of Israel, and they shall be my people.”
Thus says the Lord:
“The people who survived the sword
    found grace in the wilderness;
when Israel sought for rest,
    the Lord appeared to him from far away.
I have loved you with an everlasting love;
    therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.
Again I will build you, and you shall be built,
    O virgin Israel!
Again you shall adorn yourself with tambourines
    and shall go forth in the dance of the merrymakers.
Again you shall plant vineyards
    on the mountains of Samaria;
the planters shall plant
    and shall enjoy the fruit.
For there shall be a day when watchmen will call
    in the hill country of Ephraim:
‘Arise, and let us go up to Zion,
    to the Lord our God.’”
For thus says the Lord:
“Sing aloud with gladness for Jacob,
    and raise shouts for the chief of the nations;
proclaim, give praise, and say,
    ‘O Lord, save your people,
    the remnant of Israel.’
Behold, I will bring them from the north country
    and gather them from the farthest parts of the earth,
among them the blind and the lame,
    the pregnant woman and she who is in labor, together;
    a great company, they shall return here.
With weeping they shall come,
    and with pleas for mercy I will lead them back,
I will make them walk by brooks of water,
    in a straight path in which they shall not stumble,
for I am a father to Israel,
    and Ephraim is my firstborn.
10 “Hear the word of the Lord, O nations,
    and declare it in the coastlands far away;
say, ‘He who scattered Israel will gather him,
    and will keep him as a shepherd keeps his flock.’
11 For the Lord has ransomed Jacob
    and has redeemed him from hands too strong for him.
12 They shall come and sing aloud on the height of Zion,
    and they shall be radiant over the goodness of the Lord,
over the grain, the wine, and the oil,
    and over the young of the flock and the herd;
their life shall be like a watered garden,
    and they shall languish no more.
13 Then shall the young women rejoice in the dance,
    and the young men and the old shall be merry.
I will turn their mourning into joy;
    I will comfort them, and give them gladness for sorrow.
14 I will feast the soul of the priests with abundance,
    and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness,
declares the Lord.”

Weekly Prayer Requests/Praises

Anonymous: Healing prayers for my precious sister-in-law who is in a fight for her life because of addiction -- Lord, the wounds are deep -- the generational iniquities are also there -- rescue her, Lord, from the depression, oppression, self-rejection, and self-hatred.  Your blood was shed for her.  May she accept that the curses have been broken in Jesus' name! And may she choose life now and forever more.  Amen.

A. Rucker:  My godson was made a cook at the drug rehab. Req: My godson to get closer to God.

Anonymous:  I pray for unity and healing in my circle of friends.  I ask you to pierce their hearts and crush the pride that keeps everyone fighting for position and not living in freedom and intimacy.

S. Heard:  Asking for and praising God in advance for what He has done in bringing  Milton through his first year of college with a strong testimony that wondrously glorifies God which He will use to encourage and strengthen others.  Asking for and praising God in advance for unseen but hoped for provisions for tuition, materials, transportation, and all those other things that He has known about from the beginning of Creation.  I thank God that He is God and I'm not, that He asks that trust Him, I rejoice in Him, do the next thing in doing my part, and ask Him for the things that I want because He has already provided for those things we need. Thank you.

11 As for you, because of the blood of my covenant with you,
    I will free your prisoners from the waterless pit.
12 Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope;
    even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you.
13 I will bend Judah as I bend my bow
    and fill it with Ephraim.
I will rouse your sons, Zion,
    against your sons, Greece,
    and make you like a warrior’s sword.
14 Then the Lord will appear over them;
    his arrow will flash like lightning.
The Sovereign Lord will sound the trumpet;
    he will march in the storms of the south,
15     and the Lord Almighty will shield them.
They will destroy
    and overcome with slingstones.
They will drink and roar as with wine;
    they will be full like a bowl
    used for sprinkling[c] the corners of the altar.
16 The Lord their God will save his people on that day
    as a shepherd saves his flock.
They will sparkle in his land
    like jewels in a crown.
17 How attractive and beautiful they will be!
    Grain will make the young men thrive,
    and new wine the young women.
