A week has passed and soooo much has happened with the church. Let's start with last Tuesday evening. What an AWESOME night of worship. We had 50 in total attendance. From the music, to the testimony, to the powerful message. It all rocked! I looked at Michael and said, "I've got one word for you.....flawless!" Oh, and speaking of rockin, Aaron Watson sang Peter Gabriel's, "In Your Eyes," and I must say, the lyrics were so perfect for the message on fullfilment. I never pictured that song being sung to God. But I'm here to tell you that it works well as a worship song....who'd a thunk?!
We had a big prayer answered last week- a donation for the building of our website came in from a dear friend. We are thrilled. We currently have one up that has basic info on it, but the "real mccoy" (as we say in Texas) is on its way! Which in turn had us busy this weekend with a fun photo shoot for the website at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve with Beth Dryer Photography - you can peek at a few of the photos at http://www.bethdreyer.wordpress.com/
It was a great "natural" setting for some relaxed photos of me and the Pastor, a.k.a., "my prince!"
And today we were blessed to have 41entertainment shoot video for a welcome message to go on the website as well. I would like to state that Michael has a lot more experience at this stuff than I do. He is the "one take" wonder...and then there was me! So many out takes and so many laughing attacks! Those will be better than the real message, I bet.
Tomorrow Michael completes Ecclisiastes chapter 5 witht the message, "Got Questions?" It will be our first "official" invitation for members to join and we are also excited to announce our first "Summit Hike" breakfast and prayer walk in Addison. It will take place this Saturday morning. We will meet at Benedicts on Belt Line at 9:30am, then hit the pavement with prayers. It will give me a great excuse to order eggs and bacon for energy! ;) Come join us and kids are welcome.
These are certainly exciting times and I can't wait to wake up every morning to see what our next assignment is!

Could it be any more beautiful outside? After the rainiest October we've ever had, out comes the sun in November like never before!
It's been a great day of getting things done for the church. We started off with having coffee with the Mayor of Addison this morning. We were not sure what to expect. Would there be a ton of people? Would it be a town hall set up where it would be difficult to actually meet the mayor face to face? What we were sure of was that God would go before us and prepare the way for our meeting. It says in Isaiah 52:12, "The Lord will go before you and the God of Israel will bring up your rear guard." And let me tell you, HE DID! He had us covered on all sides. It ended up being just me and Pastor Perron, plus the mayor and one of his council members. We had all of their attention! They brainstormed with us as to where we could look to have Sunday services. They gave us places and names and offered to help in any way that they could. We felt the favor of God all over us!!
So other than the sunshine and the great meeting with the mayor, it's also a great day for an adventure in knowing God. Tonight, Pastor Michael Perron will be diving into the last part of Chapter 5 in Ecclesiastes. His message will be; "Finding Fulfillment...It's more than a noun."
We will also be debuting our new worship leader, Aaron Watson. And every first Tuesday of the month is the night we celebrate the Lord's supper...Summit Style. What does that mean? It means we are very casual in the manner in which we serve communion, (after all, we are in a cottage!) but we are very committed to the reflection of our hearts and where we've gotten "off track" in our lives.
We would love to have you join us at 7pm in the Cottage at the Addison Conference Center where the "Adventure of Transformed Living Starts!"
